LASER FOCUS EPISODE 14: “SHAAAAAAAKMA!” - RABID DOGS AND BLOOD AND BLACK LACE
The Three Horror Musketeers (Justin, Jay and Trevor) discuss Mario Bava’s Rabid Dogs, Blood and Black Lace and (unsurprisingly) veer off into a long nostalgic reverie about being disappointed by AMAZING VHS covers, the films they’d LOVE to see remade and the quest for a funny pod-cast title. Somehow the subject of the BEST Friday the 13th film comes up. Don’t ask us how.
NOTE: Sorry about the shaky audio at points - We didn’t realize that the couch/chair some of us were sitting on was making that much noise.

LASER FOCUS EP #14: “I WAS A GARBAGE MAN AT CANNES”
LISTEN TO IT HERE
The gang watch Steve Martin act like a (musical) jerk in PENNIES FROM HEAVEN and giggle at Woody Allen’s classic schtick in PLAY IT AGAIN SAM.
How rich do you have to be before you don’t have to pay for anything? Peter tells us about being a Garabage Man at the Cannes Film Festival and we all wonder what celebrity we’d love to have as an imaginary friend. No one picks Phoebe Cates.

Over the last few days we’ve been doing audio reviews of all the MIDNIGHT MADNESS FILMS taking place at the Toronto International Film Festival. Check out the podcast page at http://laserblastfilmsociety.podomatic.com/ and don’t forget to join the FACEBOOK group! Check out every day for another new audio review till its all done THIS SUNDAY!

In the first episode Justin and Trevor talk about how they became obsessed with cinema and the sad (and drug riddled tale) of how their film fanaticism turned their lives into nothing but a sad empty shell filled with nothing but flickering images.

AND! Why you shouldn’t show a 12 year old a young boy’s head getting crushed.

PLUS! A discussion about the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival.  Midnight Madness Line-Up!
